Accoladed: Gault Millau recommends Rossini Restaurant aboard AIDAstella
Gourmets and aficionados refer to the well-known Gault Millau restaurant and hotel guide when looking for somewhere to enjoy culinary delights in a stylish ambiance. Toques, points and sets of cutlery are the symbols awarded for exceptional culinary offerings.
The cruise ship AIDAstella is now a member of this select circle. The Rossini gourmet restaurant has been awarded a toque, fourteen points and three sets of cutlery and has been accepted into the 2014 Gault Millau guide.
“Excellent cuisine offering more than just the commonplace”, was the résumé of the testers, who of course went about their business on board incognito. That is a real compliment to the galley and service team on board AIDAstella. But above all it is a tribute to Günther Kroack, who as chef de cuisine is in charge of the Rossini restaurants on board all AIDA, which have already won many awards.
Eating, in itself a pleasurable experience, is turned into a feast for the palate and the senses – that is what characterises the cuisine on board AIDA ships. AIDA regards plenty of choice and variety as well as premium quality as an integral part of any enjoyable holiday on board.
You can give the toque-winning restaurant a try – it’s currently only 4 hours flying time from Germany. AIDAstella is still cruising around the Canaries until April, for instance over the Easter holidays. From May onwards AIDAstella will be departing on two-week cruises from Hamburg to European cities, the Norwegian fjords and to Scotland.
