Oktoberfest fun with DJ Ötzi on board AIDA

Rostock, 20. April 2017

September is Oktoberfest time – and not just in the capital of the Free State of Bavaria. For the start of what is probably the world’s biggest and best-known popular festival, AIDA Cruises is bringing all the fun of the Oktoberfest on board. Guests on board the entire AIDA fleet can look forward to a real festival tent atmosphere with all of Munich’s tradition. This will be provided by top acts such as DJ Ötzi on board AIDAperla and Micki Krause on AIDAprima, each from September 23 to 30. The guests on board of these two ships await a colorful music and entertainment program dedicated to the Bavarian People's Festival.

As music plays an integral part in creating a real party tent atmosphere, famous top acts such as DJ Ötzi, Micki Krause, Antonia from Tyrol and Jürgen Milski will add to the party mood. Along with the guests on board AIDAprima and AIDAperla, they will dance to their most famous party hits such as “Ein Stern”, “Schatzi schenk mir ein Foto” and “Antonia aus Tirol” throughout the day and long into the night – and they will of course wearing in Bavarian style lederhosen and dirndl. Also on board will be probably Cologne’s most famous musical export “Höhner,” who will really warm up their audience true to the motto of “when carnival finishes, the Oktoberfest begins.” If you like things a bit more Bavarian, you can rock in true Bavarian style with “Die Rotzlöffl”.

The AIDA Wiesn 2017 offers a varied Oktoberfest program, with many daily Brauhaus promotions, not only for those who love to eat heartily, but also for those who love to laugh heartily. Fun for the whole family promise numerous activities like felt hats catching and archery. For arm wrestling, white suckling and yodeling you can apply for the title "Smartest AIDA Boy" or "Smartest AIDA Girl".

You will also enjoy traditional Bavarian culinary fare. In addition to the obligatory liter jug with AIDA’s own Zwickel beer, you can feast on hearty classics like knuckle of pork, chicken, sausage salad and dumplings or snack on a proper cold platter in the brewery taverns on board AIDAprima and AIDAperla.

For the youngest beautiful ships with smiling lips four dates are available: On AIDAprima on 16 and 23 September September from / to Hamburg on seventh-day Oktoberfest cruises to the most beautiful cities of Western Europe. For Wiesn fans aboard AIDAperla it is on 16th and 22/23. September from / to Barcelona / Mallorca on likewise seven-day trips to the highlight destinations on the Mediterranean Sea.
