The biggest choice of vacations in one catalog

Rostock, 05. October 2017

- Routes to Australia, Indonesia, Shanghai and the Seychelles
- AIDA Selection dream destinations and AIDAaura world cruise
- Newest ship, AIDAnova, cruising the Canary Islands

The new AIDA Catalog with all cruises for the travel period from February 2018 to April 2019 is out on October 5, 2017. Bookings are now open for AIDA cruises during the Winter 2018/2019 season.

New routes, exotic destinations in Australia, China and Indonesia

The highlights include AIDAvita’s new cruises from Singapore to Australia and Indonesia. The ship will stop for no fewer than three days in Darwin, the capital of Australia’s Northern Territory. While there, she recommends a visit to the famous Kakadu National Park. Guests should also be sure to see the Casuarina Coastal Reserve and lively Mitchell Street with its restaurants, bars and nightclubs. In Indonesia, AIDAvita will be visiting four enchanting islands; in Bali, guests will even have two whole days to explore. Apart from the unique flora and fauna in numerous national parks, guests in these heavenly islands will also be able to discover mystical monuments from the distant past, Buddhist temples, and underwater worlds bursting with color. The exotic cuisine and diversity of the various islands are a further guarantee that guests will be able to immerse themselves in entirely new worlds, again and again.

Cruises from Singapore to the Philippines, Vietnam and Hong Kong are new additions to the program. The vibrant metropolis of Hong Kong will thrill visitors with fascinating insights into Chinese culture, its breathtaking skyline and its trendy districts. AIDAvita will be spending two days in Hong Kong. On this cruise, guests will be able to experience the ancient Vietnamese town of Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, both during the day and in the evening, when countless lanterns bathe the town in a very special light. Other highlights on this cruise include Ha Long Bay in Vietnam, the underground river on the Philippine island of Palawan, the famous Che Sui Khor pagoda in Sabah, Malaysia, and a visit to Brunei.

Following the great success of AIDAbella’s Asia cruises as far as Shanghai, they will resume in early 2019. From Bangkok, the ship will set sail for Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan, on her way to China’s most modern metropolis on the Yangtse Delta. Another cruise will travel for 14 days from Shanghai to Singapore.

World cruise with AIDAaura

AIDAaura will set sail on October 8, 2018, and, over the course of 117 days, will call at 41 ports in 20 countries on four continents, reaching her final destination on February 2, 2019. Many of the destinations en route are being visited for the first time in AIDA’s history. They include South Africa, Namibia, Melbourne, Tasmania, and the South Seas archipelago of Fiji, Samoa and New Caledonia. First, however, AIDAaura will be setting a course for South America and Easter Island.

Heading for eternal spring with AIDAnova

During her maiden season, from December 2018 AIDAnova will be offering seven-day cruises to Madeira and the island world of the Canaries. That means a taste of summer in deepest winter with a total of five islands in just seven nights: on cruises from/to Gran Canaria and from/to Tenerife, guests will be able to experience the fascinating destinations of Madeira, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Thanks to pleasant temperatures all year round, the range of different landscapes, and short flight times, the Canary Islands are the perfect place for a vacation. They are among the most popular winter destinations, particularly with guests from the German-speaking countries. Ahead of the Canaries season, the new ship will be coming to Hamburg. AIDAnova will visit the Hanseatic City on the Elbe on December 2, 2018, from where she will set sail for Gran Canaria.

Northern Lights or dream beach?  Experience the variety AIDA has to offer in winter!

In addition to all the above, the AIDA Winter 2018/2019 season has many other magical cruises in store. AIDAperla, for example, will be visiting the Caribbean for the first time, and AIDAprima will be in the Orient. AIDAblu will offer seven cruises in the Indian Ocean with stops in Mauritius, the Seychelles, La Réunion and Madagascar.
Those seeking adventure in the Far North will love the cruises to wintry Norway in February and March 2019. AIDAaura and AIDAcara will be sailing from Hamburg to the land of the Northern Lights and a unique winter landscape.
The Canary Islands can be combined with Madeira – the island of flowers – with the Azores or with Cape Verde.
The winter season is a particularly good time for visitors to explore the cultural treasures of the Mediterranean at their leisure. On her 9 and 12-day cruises, AIDAmar will be offering the highlight of an overnight stay in Lisbon. On the longer route, the cruise will continue on to the Canary Islands. AIDAsol will be visiting Rome, Florence, Marseille and Barcelona.
Apart from AIDAperla, AIDAdiva and AIDAluna will also be sailing the Caribbean again. AIDAluna will be taking in a combination of new and alluring destinations such as Roatan in Honduras, Costa Maya in Mexico, Grand Turk Island and Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic.
