AIDAprima’s Organic Body & Soul Spa wins GREEN SPA Award 2017 from the German Wellness Association and Messe Düsseldorf.
It was only as recently as January this year that the German Wellness Association awarded a Level 3 GREEN SPA certificate – the highest quality rating – to the 3,100 sqm wellness zone. At the BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF 2017 the youngest ship in the fleet with the smiling lips has now received the annual GREEN SPA award for its exemplary achievements in terms of its health-related, ecological, regional and socially sustainable operations. Before the award was conferred, this onboard wellness paradise had been audited in the categories of ecological sustainability, regional networking, social responsibility and health promotion.
The groundbreaking ORGANIC Spa has been designed and built entirely in line with ecological principles. Organic shapes, natural woods and captivating ocean views accentuate the Green Spa concept. Five saunas, several indoor and outdoor pools, a tepidarium, and a fireside room invite guests to enjoy complete relaxation. Only the organically-certified SPA products “terre et mer” from THALGO and from Ligne St Barth are used for treatments. A 30-member international team of therapists provides 80 of the most beautiful treatments from all over the world. From July 1, 2017, guests aboard AIDAprima’s new sister ship, AIDAperla, will also be able to enjoy this experience.
Katrin Hofrichter, who is responsible for the concept and operation of the 12 wellness and fitness zones with AIDA Cruises, also celebrated an award. The Senior Manager Spa & Retail took second place out of 70 entrants and ten finalists at the “Spa Manager of the Year 2017.” This award, presented by the Messe Düsseldorf and German Wellness Association’s expert jury, honors outstanding achievements in spa management.
