The cruise company AIDA Cruises is sponsor for the 125th Kiel Week from June 22 to June 30, 2019, and is taking four AIDA cruise ships to the world’s biggest sailing event.
Visitors can look forward to five ship arrivals: On the first day of the festival, June 22, 2019, AIDAprima is dropping anchor in Kiel. Four more AIDA calls will then follow: AIDAluna on June 23, AIDAcara and AIDAprima on June 29. On June 30, AIDAbella is arriving at Ostseekai for the closing of Kiel Week.
At the AIDA vacation world on the Kiellinie (near Reventlouwiese), visitors can explore an AIDAnova show cabin or find out more about cruising with AIDA. In addition, there will be an AIDA competition and lots of entertainment for the entire family.
The grand finale of Kiel Week will be on June 30, 2019, when AIDA’s spectacular fireworks turn the sky over the inner fjord into a glittering sea of color. AIDAbella will set sail during the fireworks.
Those new to cruises will have an opportunity in Kiel to get to know one of the AIDA ships by visiting on board. A three-hour tour provides an in-depth look at the ship’s public areas and different stateroom. The price of the tour is 49 euros per person including lunch at one of the buffet restaurants. Children up to the age of 15 can visit for free. Visitors can sign up for ship tours during Kiel Week or later dates at www.aida.de/schiffsbesuche.
The AIDA ships depart from Kiel for Norway and the Baltic. Up until October 2019, AIDAprima is sailing to Tallinn, St. Petersburg, Helsinki, and Stockholm on 7-day cruises. Two cruises along Norway’s coast are also on the program in July 2019. AIDAluna is heading for the Arctic Circle and AIDAbella is taking guests to the North Cape, Iceland, the Lofoten, and around Great Britain.
All AIDA cruises departing from Kiel can be booked at travel agencies, online at www.aida.de, or with the AIDA Customer Center by calling +49 (0) 381 / 20 27 07 07.
