AIDA stages second world cruise – around South Africa with AIDAaura

Rostock, 20. July 2017

Tomorrow, Friday, July 21, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. is when bookings open for AIDA’s second world cruise as part of its new AIDA Selection program. In fall 2018 AIDAaura will follow AIDAcara’s first cruise around the world which sets sail on October 17, 2017.

On October 8, 2018, the cry of “cast off!” will then go up for a second time when this great adventure gets underway from Hamburg. Sailing until February 2, 2019, AIDAaura’s route over 117 days will take her to 41 ports in 20 countries on four continents. Many of the destinations will be visited for the first time in AIDA’s history. These include South Africa, Namibia, Melbourne, Tasmania and the South Seas archipelago of Fiji, Samoa and New Caledonia.

From Hamburg, AIDAaura will set a course for South America. Dream destinations such as Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Ushuaia (Tierra del Fuego) will be just a few of the stops before AIDAaura sails from Santiago de Chile (Chile) for Easter Island. The cruise continues on to Tahiti, Bora Bora, Samoa and Fiji in the South Seas paradise of French Polynesia. Sydney, Tasmania, Perth (Australia), Madagascar, South Africa and Namibia are sure to delight all of our explorers on board.

Marveling at the biggest waterfalls on earth, waddling with penguins, being tickled on the nose by tropical fishes, bathing in a turquoise ocean off uninhabited islands, watching lions in Kruger National Park, racing across the Garden Route in South Africa or the Great Ocean Road in Australia – just a couple of the dreams that will come true on this cruise.

Guests will enjoy an unforgettable New Year’s party on board AIDAaura in Mauritius, the dream island in the Indian Ocean.

The AIDA world cruise with AIDAaura can be booked from just 12,995 euros per person.

AIDA Selection stands for extraordinary cruises on fascinating routes to new regions or exclusive ports. During extensive shore excursions, guests have the chance to familiarize themselves with impressive landscapes and cultures from an entirely different angle. On board, guests are able to enjoy an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. The individually designed entertainment program makes reference to the typical culture of the destinations being visited. At the restaurants guests can look forward to an exquisite culinary selection of regional specialties, created to coordinate with the destinations.
